Annihilation of Abu Sayyaf and alleged corruption in the military
I wonder when can Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's government finish off Abu Sayyaf. Well, the country's medium term plan targets exactly that - annihilate Abu Sayyaf by 2003. However, some sectors are pointing to corruption in the military. This article (quoting former Senator Jovito Salonga) says exactly that. If this is the case, then maybe instead of gloating about the White House-MalacaƱang link, Ms. Arroyo could get to the bottom of this alleged corruption, and yes, finish off these bandits.
